Anaheim Ducks Star Matt Beleskey, NHL Legend Steve “Stumpy” Thomas Retired NHL Stars Troy Crowder and Eddie Shack, and NHL Referees Dan Marouelli and Blaine Angus confirmed for Hockey Night in Barrie IV

MP Brown is excited to announce the addition of NHL Superstar Matt Beleskey, NHL Legend Steve “Stumpy” Thomas, as well as NHL referees Dan Marouelli and Blaine Angus. “To have another young gun on board like Matt Beleskey, who is a true up and comer with the Ducks franchise, is truly awesome,” Said MP Brown. “Due to a recent shoulder surgery, Beleskey will be unable to play in the game, however, he will have a spot on the bench and will be present after the game to sign autographs and meet fans,” said MP Brown.

Also joining the line up will be retired NHL Stars Eddie Shack and Troy Crowder. Shack won four Stanley Cup titles throughout his career, the last one with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1967. Shack will be participating as a coach. Crowder played over 10 years in the NHL for the New Jersey Devils, Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, and Vancouver Canucks.

Legendary referees Dan Marouelli and Blain Angus will be joining Ron Hoggarth in the game. “The fans and especially the players will certainly appreciate the opportunity to play alongside these legendary officials”, said MP Brown. Dan Marouelli began his professional career in 1984, since then he has officiated over 1500 games, his last being the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. the Montreal Canadiens in 2010. Blaine Angus is a current NHL referee who has officiated over 444 games.   

Showing his skills in net for one period of the game will be Member of Parliament for Peterborough Dean Del Mastro. “Dean is used to playing in net against other MPs so it will be exciting to see how he holds up against some of the NHL’s top shooters” said MP Brown.
