MP Patrick Brown is excited to announce the confirmation of NHL Hockey Hall of Famer Mike Gartner, as well as Canada’s Defence Minister Peter MacKay to the roster for Hockey Night in Barrie.
August 11th, 2011 is gearing up to be one of the year’s most exciting charitable events benefitting the Royal Victoria Hospital’s Regional Cancer Care Centre. The event’s fourth annual hockey game as well as the addition of the daytime ball hockey tournament and BBQ promises not to disappoint.

Mike Gartner played 19 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Washington Capitals, Minnesota North Stars, New York Rangers, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Pheonix Coyotes. He is perhaps most known for his days playing for the Maple Leafs and being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
The Hon. Peter MacKay-, PC, QC, MP (Born September 7th, 1965) is a lawyer and politician from Nova Scotia, Canada. He is Member of Parliament for central Nova Scotia, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and currently serves as Minister of National Defence in the Cabinet of Canada.
